Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Obtain information about permaculture
   • Identify and access sources of information about permaculture
   • Collect information to assist effective and safe work performance within a permaculture work site
   • Identify workplace terms and conditions
   • Identify work and career options for permaculture practice
2. Observe requirements of a permaculture workplace
   • Ensure work practices comply with enterprise work requirements
   • Recognise faults and abnormalities in workplace practices and take remedial action
   • Observe punctuality in work attendance
   • Complete work routines and specific instructions to meet workplace expectations
3. Work effectively in a permaculture workplace
   • Plan work tasks in consultation with team members and supervisor
   • Follow instructions from supervisor
   • Cooperate with others as part of a team with consideration of special needs of co-workers and others
   • Accept responsibility for quality of own work
4. Contribute to a productive permaculture workplace
   • Fulfil commitments to undertake work or assist co-workers
   • Share knowledge and skills with co-workers through conversations and demonstrations
   • Recognise and seek out contributions from individuals of different gender and social and cultural backgrounds, if appropriate
   • Ensure work is consistent with workplace standards relating to anti-discrimination and workplace harassment
   • Recognise and resolve conflict through personal communication if possible and reference to supervisor for support
   • Undertake responsibilities and duties so as to promote cooperation and good workplace relationships
